Setup Local Environment

How to install and manage the Eratos SDK

Eratos Sidecar is the best way to interact with Eratos. Access data, store code, share workflows and run experiments all within a supported, cloud-based development environment. Access your development platform wherever you go and forego the hassle of managing your own packages, dependencies and firewall restrictions. Click the link above to see if Sidecar is right for you.

For those who want to set up their own local environments, to access eratos functionality from anywhere, we've created a step-by-step guide for getting a local environment set up. Both Python and R languages are supported.

Using this documentation, we're going to walk you through step-by-step installing the required software to get full use of Eratos by setting up a local development environment as well as accessing and querying data in the Eratos Community.

Depending on your level of technical experience, installing new software and setting up a development environment can be quite an involved process so we recommend setting aside an hour for our onboarding just in case.
